I wanted to be able to pass the book on to my grandchildren so that they they could learn about their Scottish origins! We were amazed to discover that the whole family on both sides came from Ireland via Scotland and you have even managed to find the Conville ancestors living in a mountain village in county Londonderry! My sister and I are planning to visit there next year.

The information you managed to find out about Uncle Bert was fascinating. My sisters and I knew he had been in Belgium during the war and that he had managed to get back safely to Scotland but we didn't know how he came to be there and what happened when he was there. We also didn't know anything about the amazing escape llne! They must have all been such brave people taking such risks.

Many, many thanks for a superb book. Reading it over has brought back so many happy memories of events and my grandchildren love seeing pictures of a 'young' grandma!
